by Suresh Nanda The Ananta Udaipur

Travelling in monsoon is not easy, you might get stuck in lashing rains, thunderstorm or striking lightning. If you are someone who likes rain then go out and explore your favorite places. So, if you are planning a trip for Pushkar, then look for Pushkar accommodation in advance. Monsoons bring out a different beauty of the place, so get yourself indulged into it! Not everyone prefers to go on a trip during the rainy season and the reasons are quite justified. Therefore if you keep yourself equipped with all the necessary items you might enjoy having a wonderful time.

Here is a list of things that you need to pack to travel during monsoon-

1. Always carry an umbrella

In monsoon, don't forget to carry an umbrella. Wherever you go for the safety bring along your umbrella to avoid unforeseen situations. Often in tropical rains, the winds are pretty strong so buy a sturdy umbrella to bear the storm.

2. Solid backpack rain cover

For obvious reasons, nobody likes to have a bag full of wet clothes so protect your belongings from the rain. Get a good quality backpack cover which is waterproof and prevent wear and tear. Your bag will contain all important things like documents, money and other papers, keep them safe by covering your backpack with a long waterproof cover.

3. A colorful Raincoat

And this is a must! Your raincoat will be a life-saving vest in the time of need. So get yourself a colourful raincoat to ditch the dull weather. It won’t be feasible for you to carry an umbrella all the time especially if you are going on a trek.

4. A strong mosquito repellent

During monsoon, the swarm of insects are all out in full motion. So, protect yourself from them by using a strong mosquito repellent which is easily available in any local stores. Before you plan the trip equip yourself with all the necessary items that you will need for the trip.

5. Waterproof hiking shoes

You really got to need this if you are planning to go on a trip during monsoon. Due to heavy rains the land becomes muddy and filled with swamp so if you carry flip-flops or sneakers, you might ruin your shoes or dress.

6. Waterproof Phone cases

Lastly, you must invest in protecting your phone and other electronic devices. I am sure you would go crazy if you find your favorite device broken cause of the rain.

Planning a trip during monsoon can be a little hysterical but we’ve got you covered! Before you visit the Pink City, we would recommend you to make advance bookings in resorts near Pushkar lake. And, don’t forget to tick off the checklist you have prepared for packing your bags.
