Celebration in Full Grandeur in Udaipur!

by Suresh Nanda The Ananta Udaipur

India is a country which doesn’t need any kind of excuse for any celebration. With so many religions living together, leads to a lot many reasons for festivity. Actually, if seen from a particular perspective, people in India are always celebrating some or the other festival. This leads to an all-time festive mood in India.

With festivities, one clearly pictures a lot of colours to go with it. And with colours, there is one state in India that draws beautiful parallel lines with colours, and that is Rajasthan. Rajasthan is a huge and a splendid state of India. It is one of the most visited states by the tourists coming from within India and abroad. It consists of many beautiful cities within it. All of them are spectacular and quite popular with all the tourists. The capital is the most famous of all, that is Jaipur, then there are the other cities which are Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Ajmer and the prettiest of them all is Udaipur.

Udaipur, rather than calling it “the city of lakes”, one can say that it is a city immersed in lakes. This whole equation of lakes and land creates a landscape that makes people crave to come back to the city as much as possible.

Talking of lakes, out of the many, Lake Pichola is the biggest and the prettiest of them all. It is the one whose boundaries are elated with the beautiful walls of the famous City Palace. It is basically a complex of 11 grand and beautiful palaces, all of them built by different rulers under their respective reigns.

For accommodation, the city has a great variety of hotels and resorts. But anyway, a resort in Udaipur Rajasthan would be a better choice above all. It gives a flavour of luxury a bit more than the other accommodation choices.

The other very famous place to go to Udaipur is the Monsoon Palace. It is placed on an elevated level, rather on a hilltop. In the yesteryears, it was created by kings to get a splendid view of the approaching monsoon clouds. Well, now it has been converted into a grand hotel, but open to tourists too, to appreciate the beauty once created by the great minds of Mewar.

Udaipur is such a blissful city, that who wouldn’t want to get married in such a fantastic city. For that, there is a good number of wedding resorts in Udaipur, that not only lets one host a wedding in such a beautiful city, but it also lets one take a piece of the city back home with them.
