Considering the fact that 2019’s Joker received mixed reviews from the audience, it still became one of the most grossed movies than what people were expecting. It surpassed people’s estimation of the movie’s box office collection when it crossed the 1 billion dollars worldwide collection in the total budget of 55 million dollars.

It is also now the highest-earning r-rated film of all time, and it is also the first movie that crossed 1 billion dollars collection even after getting the R rating. Moreover, the movie also got nominated for a total of 11 Oscar awards, which is an insane achievement for DC movies. The film also got numerous other awards for multiple new achievements in the filming industry in the various awards programs.  

Now the movie received an Oscar for the Best original score from the composer Hildur Guðnadóttir. It also nominated for the Best Actor Oscar in the 92th Academy Awards for the actor Joaquin Phoenix. It is now the fourth DC comic’s live-action adaptation that earned an Oscar. The suspiring thing is that all four Oscar-winning movies have Joker in them.  

The other three Oscar-winning movies of DC Comics are 1989’s Batman (Oscar for Best Art Direction), 2008’s The Dark Knight (Oscar For Best Supporting Actor and Best Sound Editing), as well as 2016’s Suicide Squad (Oscar For Best Makeup & Hairstyling).
