Traffic Exchanges
by Catherine White Entreprenuer Have you noticed all the new traffic exchange sites popping up every where? Maybe I just didn't notice there are so many, when I first started marketing online. One thing is for sure, they are every where today.Do you use traffic exchange to bring traffic to your website? It has been said, it takes a prospect 7 viewings of an opportunity before they will decide to buy or opt in. If this number it true, you need as much traffic to your site as possible.
I, personally, like traffic exchange sites. When I get the chance, I like to surf and view other people's sites. This gives me the opportunity to view other businesses, as well as, the ability to view other marketing techniques. The learning experience, it itself, is invaluable.
What is popping up at traffic exchanges every where is the chat feature. Now you can chat with other members while you are surfing. At first, I thought this idea was silly. Now I understand this is one of the most valuable features of a traffic exchange site. This takes networking up to another level. You are actually chatting with other online marketers who have a product in rotation. You know they are online to make money. You have a captive audience. Can you see the value of getting yourself noticed in the chat? If you are chatting casually with other members, then BAM all of the sudden that member is viewing your advertisement. It is only natural they will look at it closer because they know your name and your face now because they were just chatting with you.
Brilliant Networking In Action!
Have fun surfing the traffic exchange sites and be sure to Turn ON the chat feature and start networking.

About the chat function I would like to ad that you can also learn about the person that promotes an oppertonity by the comments that he/she is writing. You can easily see the difference bewteen a serious marketer and a spammer. Another thing you can observe what people are program hoppers an which ones stick to the same program(s). Those oberservations help me to decide with who I might want to team up or possibly join a program. Jan 25th 2011 04:13 |

I like the idea of chatting with fellow marketers in a traffic exchange but over all I really don't put much faith in them. I believe in building relationships (as pertaining to marketing)based on the premise of an idea or niche. This is what builds true sales not random marketers looking through ads to gain hits. In this way the marketing is based on chance so the hits loose their weight.. Just my thoughts on the subject. Jan 25th 2011 07:18 |

You are right about the benefits of chatting with other online marketers. The internet can be so impersonal at times but a traffic exchange with the chat feature allows you to connect with others and make new friends and build business relationships. Jan 25th 2011 07:27 |

TE's have their place I suppose. I use them and have done so for a few years now - I'm a patient guy :-) but for what? I haven't seen any results from them so why keep using them? I can't really answer that one but it gets my ads out. I find for the most part that it's a big time consumer even when using things like TabMixPlus which does save a lot of time. That's my experience anyway. Thanks for reading. Jan 25th 2011 08:31 |

@Dons - if you are chatting at traffic exchanges you are building relationships. When a person is not in the same niche as you, this is the perfect person to chat with. Find out what they like and ask for advice on your advertisements. You can get a point of view outside your niche which should improve your marketing efforts in the long run. @Paul - You say you have been using them for years without results. Hmmmm, this puts a lot of questions in my mind. The main one is what are you marketing? Remember, When you market via a traffic exchange, your target is a bunch of other marketers. You need to target this specific market with your ads. I would to look at what you are putting out there and give my opinion. (Yes, I am all woman and very opinionated) That goes for anyone else, as well. If you want me to take a look at what you are advertising in the traffic exchange circuit, I would be happy to give my advice. Jan 25th 2011 11:55 |

Yes, I agree. The best way of developing prospects is by personal contact. The chatting feature is the way to do that. Bodo Jan 25th 2011 15:10 |

William there are so many TE sites which now have chat. I don't want to use this article as a spam box but, if you are truly interested, send me a message and I will send you a list of my favorites. Jan 26th 2011 10:19 |

Traffic Exchanges, hmm, to me it's a love'em - hate'em type of thing. They certainly are interesting to see and with all the new ones that come out it is quite a chore to get your ads in there before the next new one comes along lol. It is quite time consuming but often rewarding. Jan 29th 2011 23:24 |

I have heard it said that TE'a are now a waste of time. Most people are just putting the pages in tabs and waiting for the counter to zero to get the credits. The proof of the pudding is in the sales? I find Safelists much more effective. All my signups come from Safelists. About 10 per week. Jan 31st 2011 11:03 |
that is a new way of looking at it ,did not cross my mind to use them like that ,thanks.
