The Power of Social Networks

by Barbara Chapman Internet Marketer

This week I'm working hard on social networking, increasing my networks on several social networking sites (Zenzuu, Yuwie, Apsense and SalesSpider to name a few) in a concerted effort to increase my influence and establish more of a web presence.

Many people think that the way to use these sites is to send all their contacts a message offering the latest opportunity.  But I know that if I receive an email which is just a blatant ad, I rarely, if ever, read it. I'd be interested to know if there's anyone out there who does read these, and if they do, do they ever sign up for the offer, or even visit the website? I joined a site at the end of 2007 (it shall remain nameless!) which sounded quite promising but rapidly became a place to spam all your contacts on a daily basis.  I think I've read about 10 of the thousands of messages that greet me every time I log in. Needless to say, I've stopped using the site.

A much better way to use the social networks is to establish a relationship with people, and let them ask you what business you are in - ok, it takes much longer to get word of your 'opportunity'out there, but you have a much greater chance of someone who is really interested asking about your offer.

If you'd like more information on these and many other network marketing techniques, please contact me for a personal invitation to an online presentation - you can email me on kiboenterprises@gmail.com, or message me here.
