by Lisa G. Health Wellness & Wealth Consultant

This blog is dedicated the one and only Zany Red Head, Lucille Ball and to Grand Launching of Lisa G's Entertainment Blogs and Trivia for the  Great Sitcoms of the 50's, 60's  70's & 80's.

I love Lucy aired from October 15, 1951 until May 06, 1957 on CBS

181 episodes, including the lost Christmas epioded and original pilot.  The show then introduced three more season with 13 one hour specials, from 1957 to 1960, know as the Lucille Ball - Desi Arnaz Show

I really loved Lucy! Her antics and shenanigans were so much fun to watch.  What were your favorite sitcoms?

The I Love Lucy Show has made millions of people laugh over the years, and we are still laughing at the reruns.  I don't think I could ever get enough of I Love Lucy.  The cast was so perfect too, Ethel & Fred Mertz, and her loving husband on screen and off screen a.ka. Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz).  Originally aired on TV on the 15th of October 1951, and ran through 1957.

I once saw a documentary that her daughter did for her parents.  She said that her mother, Lucille, was just an unbeliveably talented actress.  In real life, she was not as funny.  I find it so hard to belive, she seemed like such an natural, right down to her bright red hair.

What a great era for some of the best sitcoms to ever air.  I loved them all and still do!

Here are some of my favorites

Hi Girls! Thanks for stopping by the Lucy Blog!
I agree Jeunelle, those two epsidodes were my favorite too.

The "Having A Baby" episode and the song Ricky sang to Lucy was one of the sweetest moments of TV.

Did you ever watch the Lucy Show with Mr. Mooney and Vivian. I loved the episode where Lucy and Vivian get stuck in the shower and it's feeling up with water, all the way up to their chest and then Lucy crys like nobody else can.

Hi Nina! Thanks! I will certainly do that, great idea.

It is amazing how many different coutries I Love Lucy airs.
I heard that since the beggining of it's first broadcast, there has not been a single day that I Love Lucy has not been shown on TV, somewhere in the world. Pretty amazing.

I collect the I Love Lucy Barbie Dolls. I started out just buying her first doll, The Vitamitavegiman Doll, but just had to have the 2nd, 3rd..and all of them! I think I have 14 dolls now. Have to go count them, lost track.

Well, I'm off to read your blogs.

I'm so glad that you had I Love Lucy Shows in Denmark!

I collected almost all of the I Love Lucy videos. I wish I had them on DVD now, I've heard that videos go bad after awhile.

Interesting collecting the lucy dolls, I would love to see them all, Lucy is so pretty with her big lashes. I use to collect Marilyn Monroe items but then it's now angels , I have run out of room store them all.

It's funny what us ladies will collect. I love books , especially old books.
Don't have much time anymore to read them. Maybe when I retire.

Warm regards, Nina

Hi Nina,
I just got my first Marilyn Monroe Barbie Doll. I found her for a really good bargain on ebay. I wanted the doll from the Seven Year Itch Movie, famous for the scene in her white halter dress over the air vent.

It is funny what women collect. My husband collect Texaco cars, so he does understand my increasing collection. I have run out of room too. My dolls have to set at an angle now, on the shelf, so only half of the doll is visible..lol.
