Sports other than fantasy cricketby Rhea Scott Author
Becoming a sports player may seem simple, which is, when you follow a few simple steps. How will you ever know you're on top if you've never been on the bottom looking up? ~Dog the Bounty Hunter. It ain't over 'till it's over ~Yogi Berra .I Live For This ~MLB commercial. Yes, becoming a sports player is completely different from playing virtual games like fantasy cricket in India.
Sports player is a person trained to compete in a sport involving physical strength, speed or endurance and do not play virtual games like fantasy cricket. Sports people may be professional or amateur. Most professional sports people have particularly well-developed physiques obtained by extensive physical training and strict exercise accompanied by a strict dietary regimen. The term athlete may be used as a synonym for sportspeople in general, but it also has stronger connotations of people who compete in athletic sports, as opposed to other sporting types such as horse riding and driving. In British English (as well as other variants in the Commonwealth) athlete can also have a more specific meaning of people who compete in the sport of athletics.
Be a "go-getter" and don’t just play virtual games like fantasy cricket:
The first step to be a go-getter: Have faith in yourself! A go-getter is a person who can get things done and achieve desired goals, no matter how bad the situation is or how limited the resources are. Continue playing virtual games like fantasy cricket but play real sports as well. Contribute. Don't just sign up just to be on the team. It doesn't matter about your skill, but your effort and willingness to contribute is more important. Just go out there every practice and game and work at it. If you strike out a couple times, remember the saying "How will you ever know you’re on top if you've never been on the bottom looking up?"Always respect the game. When pros cheat by using performance-enhancing drugs to boost muscle mass, they're only cheating themselves and tarnishing their sport. Most importantly, they're messing with the minds of fans nationwide. They are giving the wrong impression that it is okay to use drugs to make themselves feel better but, in fact, it is not okay to do such things. Every time they inject drugs into their system, their bodies are satisfactory in the short term (the large muscle mass) but they lose years of their life in the long run.
Always respect your teammates be it real sports or fantasy cricket in India:
The game is much more enjoyable when you are around a comfortable environment rather than an environment filled with tension and pressure. A negative environment makes for a difficult career. Always respect your opponents. Your opponents may be considered "enemies" on the field or court (whichever one you decide to play on), but they are still human. To lighten the impact of defeat, a simple high five, handshake, etc. and a nice "Good game" will be sufficient. It may not completely make your opponent feel better but at least you did your part. Even in rivalries, all that is supposed to be a fun competition and the game is supposed to be kept on the field/court.
