by Kimberly Simpson Technical Support

Kaspersky internet security provides us the safety from all the threats including the trojans, malware and virus. It provides great security to your system while surfing the internet and performing other tasks. But, sometime you may receive the error message while updating the database of your antivirus software. The error message displayed is ‘Your computer security is at risk. Black list of license is corrupted.’ The banner of your antivirus becomes red when this error message is displayed.

But, with the help of some troubleshooting techniques given by Kaspersky Antivirus support Canada, you can fix the error problems.

1. Disabling the ‘Self-Defense’ feature from your Kaspersky internet security 2017: From the desktop or from start menu, open the Kaspersky software. Now, from the upper right corner of the Kaspersky screen, click ‘Settings’ and then click ‘Advanced Settings’ from the top left corner. Click on the ‘Self-defense’ option. Remove the check mark next to the ‘Enable self-defense’ and finally click on the ‘OK’ button.

2. From your hard disk navigate to ‘C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\AVP11\Bases’ and locate the file ‘blst2-0607g.xml’. Delete the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting the delete option.

3. Enable the display of hidden files and folders. In the left side, click the ‘Classic View’ option. Double click on the ‘Folder options’ and then click on the ‘View’ tab. Now, place a check near the ‘Show hidden files and folders’ and click on the ‘OK’ button.

4. You can re-launch the Kaspersky software and click on the ‘My update center’ from the left side. Click on the ‘Start update’. Your virus definitions will be up to date and you will stop receiving the error message.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you can resolve the errors related to the Kaspersky antivirus and keep your systems free from the threats and malware.
