I remember clutching my hands to my face while sitting on the edge of my bleacher seat.  The smell of popcorn was overpowering.

The stale sweaty gym air was electric. The buzzer sounded and I jumped up and ran onto the gym floor.

The cheerleaders mobbed the players.Yelling V-I-C-T-O-R-Y that's my team's battle cry!

My High school basketball team just upset the league Champs, The Giants, in the district playoffs. How did my puny underdogs do that?

In sports we call it the intangibles. Things you can't measure on paper. A person's heart and soul. Passion!

Follow these  7 traits and become an intangiable champion. S-U-C-C-E-E-D will be your battle cry!

S – Solutions

A marketing expert is a problem solver first and foremost.  It's not about you. Listen like you had 3 ears. Take notes and be interested and don't interrupt. It's not about you. Ask questions. You are solution  provider.

U – Unscrambler

Have you ever played Scrabble? Marketing is a lot like that. You have to create order out of all the unrelated pieces . Always be looking for creative combinations to create niche markets and  blue oceans.

C – Crossroads

Cross over to where the other's aren't. Take the road not taken. Cross the bridge that others avoid. Thanks Robert Frost.

C – Collaborative

Keep it simple.Talk like you do to your best friend.Marketing begins with a friendly/ Be Authentic. Be Real.Be people smart. Group Genius: The  Creative Power of Collaboration, by Keith Sawyer,  will innovate your marketing compass.

E – Edgecraft

In the Movie, Searching fo Bobby Fischer, A street smart chess player says you have to go to the edge of defeat.

Seth Godin says- yo have to go to the outer edge. That's where the new innovations are.

E- Encouragement

You need to practice being a  Go-Giver.  Practice giving more smiles, giving more compliments, and giving more handshakes.  The princess handshake and limp fish handshake are just plain icky.

D- Dig or Digg

Use the bulldog determination of a mole. Digg into internet marketing. Where can you find the new ideas? Taking baby steps now will be giant steps later.

It's not a sprint. Even the snail made it to the ark.

Dig deep  like a gold prospector. It takes tons of mined quartz ore to get a few ounces of gold. Baby step #1- Read  The Zen of MLM. You will not be the same.
