You can choose the minimalist route and store photos in archival boxes (the size of a shoebox). To the extent possible, organize your photos in chronological order. If the photos are in the developmental years involves carrying them out (the role can not be acid free) and keep the negatives. To be extra safe, store photos and negatives in separate places. You can store the negatives in plastic plates in a separate folder file, use a fine tip permanent marker to write on the plastic sheet that holds the negative if transferred to polypropylene sheets or keep them in the original manga. Once you have the photos organized chronologically, they must be labeled. The way it longer lasting and not harm you label photos are writing on the back of each with a no. 2 pencils with a smooth point. Unlike the ink, the pen will not fade or bleed through. Be sure not to press too hard or they'll leave a mark. You should label each photo with the names of people in the photo, place and date as far as possible. If you do not have time to label each photo file using paper labels to label each group of photos.
