A lot of people are under the false impression that Marketing is rocket science and its the wrong impression in my book. Can it get complicated if you're a complete newbie? You bet it can be, the reasons vary but its probably because you're trying to learn too many things at once in my experience. Below are a few tips that helped me get through many learning curves
.
1. Learn the basic functions of your computer.
2. Be an early riser.
3. Learn Notepad and take notes on hard copy.
4. Learn blogging, articles, press releases and RSS feeds.
5. Don't try to learn too many things at once.
6. Learn, test and implement. Whats the sense of staying on a learning curve without implementing what you've learned before moving on to something else?
7. Manage your time.
8. Do what works and when you get stuck do what you're NOT doing.
9. Stay visable online.
10. Join Marketing sites that are in your niche, don't try to sell a Vegetarian Steak.
11. Set short and long term goals.
12. Learn that whats working for someone else may not work for you due to different skill levels.
13. You don't have to reach for your wallet just because you see something you like, check to see if they have an affiliate program in place and test, test, test.
14. Look into Hyper Niches, don't jump into a field thats oversaturated.
15. Check your spelling, if every other word is spelled wrong most people just stop reading and click off.
