Review on Keeping Kids Safe

Keeping Kids Safe is an interactive step by step guide parents use to develop their own customized family plan against home threats and train their children to implement the plan for different scenarios. There are games and fun activities to conduct at night as well as during the daytime to test the skills and timing of each family member to ensure they know what to do and where to go in the event of a home threat. The book also suggest low budget security tools to use around the home as early warning systems buying your family time to respond to a threat and stay safe until the police arrive. To top it off, the book provides colored flashcards to cut out in the print copy or to point to in the Kindle version to help children understand the difference between cover and concealment - which is, by far, an invaluable tool to think through together ahead of time to stay safe no matter what happens. Keeping Kids Safe is not just for families who are gun owners. The preventative suggestions provide alternative strategies to outwit a threat and thwart being chosen as the easy target. Keeping Kids Safe is not a pick up and read once type book. It's a progressive manual families can use to start their journey of educating and empowering their children to stay safe in a world full of crime. It could take between 6 weeks to 3 months to complete all the projects and become proficient in all the games. Going through the book in consecutive order will indeed provide your family with a foundation of situational awareness and home security.
