I use the link cloaker provided to me on my ad exchange. It has a built in tracker and tells me how many clicks I've gotten. I also use the networking tool in my cpanel to find out about where in the world clicks are coming from and lets me know what type of browsers they're using and other data I need to adjust my campaigns to cater to these people.
I have been playing around with linktrackr and really like it for helping me track CTR and conversions. I will keep you posted if I think this is an awesome tool :)
I'm not that technical, so I have to use a service. I like ViralUrl to do that. It tells me where most of my traffic is coming from and it cloaks my links also.
I get asked this SOOOOO often, and I feel like I am VERY old school whenever I am asked this lol
I track using my server logs. I log in, open the file, and read them.
Amazingly enough I get countless times the amount of information doing so than any tracker can provide me with. I can see everything from IP address, to what time it was visited, what browser, whether a visit is human or bot, where the referring site was, what they clicked on, where they left the site to, how long they spend on

I haven't used either of them yet. I will definitely check it out as I am supposed to be on top of these things. Thanks Bruce! :D

Seems in my circles for tracking its either Vital Viral Pro or the new trck.me so far VVP is recommended far and wide as the best.

Wow Bruce, that's a lot of information. If I had my own server then that would be the answer. Unfortunately I am not that techy... lol
@Sylvia - I have used ViralURL for years but I don't see how you can track conversions with it. Do you know how?
