Are Google Voice numbers Anonymous?

Google Voice numbers can be anonymous if the user chooses to set them up that way. When a user sets up a Google Voice account, they have the option to link it to an existing phone number or to create a new, anonymous number. If the user chooses to create a new, anonymous number, they can use it to make and receive calls and messages without revealing their personal phone number.
