Are People Actually "Crazy" About The Way You Cook?

It kind of all began many years ago, when me and one of my younger brothers (there are six of us with only one sister to make the family look good), were in the kitchen trying to make breakfast... Trouble was, we were 6 years and 5 years old, respectively, and the concept of a "gas stove" was very new to us... our family had always had wood-burning stoves for cooking and heating... and when this new-fangled contraption appeared... well, we just had to fool with it... I opened the door to the oven, still kind of expecting to see wood sitting in there, and turned one of the funny-looking knobs... and nothing but this strange hissing noise was coming out of the thing... That's when I told my brother to light a match... The explosion was deafening, and we both lost our eyebrows to boot... I vaguely remember my mother and aunts saying something like, "YOU ARE GROUNDED FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE AND BEYOND!" or something like that... But it was then and there that I decided that I wanted to be a professional cook, a chef... (Must have been the shock of being blown up, I guess) Well, although I could cook practically since I started walking- (My mom and six aunts used to sit me on a stool in the kitchen while they cooked damn near everything you could imagine) It would be years and many delays and sidetrips through Life's twists and turns, before I ever got the chance to turn myself into what I wanted to be... Although I'm not a chef (YET), I have managed to get paid for cooking, under some very strange circumstances... I have a client, who has bought products from me for his investment business (I'm in marketing), and he was so impressed with the service he recieved, that he invited me over for lunch and a few beers... Of course, I accepted and went across town to the area where he lived... nice places around there... manicured green lawns, actual picket fences, even! Well, as they say, some people who have money, can be a little "eccentric"... He said that his mother(!), was supposed to come and prepare lunch for us but she had been delayed... I said, "No problem!" and then I spotted the bag of groceries that my client had sitting on the table, and he indicated that his mother had told him what to buy... and then he mentioned that he couldn't cook anything but eggs, and that his mother usually made all of his meals for him... I then said the words that started it all... "Well I Can Cook!" and to this day he calls me to cook a dish for him every week or so... He pays me for it and sometimes I even get to eat some good food myself... The problem is that he doesn't like most spices or salt and it drives me up the wall... It also challenges me to season and prepare food in clever ways, like using the essences of vegetables by juicing them in a blender, and stuff like that... He also will get "hooked" on a certain dish for weeks at a time... Do you know how maddening it is to prepare a chicken casserole the exact same way, at the exact same time, each and every week? I know he is considered an "Eccentric" because he has more money that I do... But if I behaved that way, I would be considered "Crazy"! LOL!:) And so,my beloved readers and cooks (So many of you are great cooks, by the way)... Are People Actually "Crazy" About the way you cook?
