Market Your Website for Back Links
Back links to a website or blog are essential for both Google Page Rank as well as Search Engine Ranking. Generally, the following methods are employed to gain back links to one's websites or blogs:
1. Exchanging links with other websites (Reciprocal Links)2. One way links3. Three way links4. Writing articles in high PR ezines (using links in author's resource box)5. Posting in forums (links in signature)6. Commenting on blogs7. Paid links
While using the above methods, one must take into account the following:
1. Never spam the forums or blogs2. Use anchor texts and alt tags properly3. The posts and comments must be relevant to the content of your websites4. Never go on a link building spree as if there is no tomorrow5. Check the links whether they work properly or not6. Try to post comments or posts in "Do Follow" blogs7. Check links in Google ( type: link:url in Google Search) and also in Yahoo Site Explorer
While these are the methods that are done to death, I suggest using novel ways to build one way links. So far, people are used to giving away free pdf downloads but these are no longer working as bait. Now, everybody has them and the same matter in different styles!
I find many people want free images and photographs but are afraid to use because of royalty and copyright issues involved. So, why not cultivate the habit of photography? Now-a-days, it is easy with digital cameras. One can learn quickly and it is not a rocket science. Give away these photos (without of course violating any person's privacy) from your website free for one time use with a condition that a link must be placed to your website. However, you must see that the linking website has relevant content to yours.
