My new ebook - A Newbie's Money Making Insurgent Ambush System
Hello,
I have a rough draft of a new book done and I just put the finishing
touches on the first chapter.
I would love to have any comments about it. Being a newbie at this writing business, I can use all the help I can get.
I have the first chapter loaded on my website at

My pleasure Dave.
With regard an ezine title, personally I'd give it a one or two word title because you will find yourself typing it out often when sharing it online!
With regard a 'hook' you might like to read Valerie's group discussion:

Offering part of the book for people to purchase the full version is an excellent idea. My experienced e-book publishing friend Christopher Westra does this very well, see this example:

Thea,
You are absolutely right, I got way to much in a hurry on that last paragraph.
Actually, my Word document was OK. It was when I put the html code in it that I screwed up and didn't follow through.
I would put it in PDF format on the final edition. And for my helpful readers here, I will post the download link (for editing purposes, of course)

Thanks All,
I appreciate the comments, especially Thea's. I guess I forgot to go back and read it.
Next question: I have 8 or 9 chapters put together and am thinking about using it as the hook to get people to join my list for "Newbie's Tips and Guides".
What would you use for headlines and subject lines?
Actually, what would you use for an ezine title?

No Dave, don't stop. Your first page does not "stink"!
It is excellent information and you really must continue with this book.
I've been online a long time, have much experience and have read a great deal. Your information is spot on.
The only thing I'd say, at this early stage is to keep the paragraphs brief as you did with the first half.
The final paragraph was too long and I had to re-read to get the info.
That's from being online a few hours and so need snippets rather than lengthy sec

No one wants to comment on my first chapter?
At least tell me if I am way off base and that it stinks.
I would really like some constructive (or destructive) comments about it.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Rana,
I found the problem rather quickly. All I had to do was look at the link in my browser and see that I had missed putting in the y on the money part of the link.
It works now.
I had a computer programming professor once tell us that computers really are dumb. Fast dummies, but they can't do anything except to count from '0' to '1'. Also, you know what they say, "GIGO" Garbage in, garbage out.
In this case, the guy who coded the page was the dummy.

Thanks Rana,
For the Heads up. I'll go there right now and check to see why.
