Grandma got run over by a Compaq
After going home on Christmas Eve
One click on Yahoo and she's still not back
Grandma's too far gone on Internet Leave
She had been drinking to much egg nog
we begged for her not to buy
she forgot to take her medicine
and insisted her internet would fly
When we found her chrismas morning
at the scene of the attack
She had the Compact logo on her forehead
and a note she had been hacked
Grandma got run over by a Compaq

Yep Jennifer,
I think I found her ... http://www.dobhran.com/greetings/GRinspire509.htm (sorry I couldn't paste her here)
At least ... I found "A" grandma. I'll leave you to decide if she's yours or not. It looks like she's spent time in the computer :-)
I think good humor is important to marketing, not just as a traffic generator, but in that it sets the tone of what you say. I've grown up believing that if you cannot laugh at things, then its a might rotten world to be in. And peopl

LOL, yes, the answer is traffic and humor is a great way to get it. :-) The thing that comes to mind is if you found a site that was funny and made you feel good even if just for a few minutes, wouldn't you want to go back to it and see what else is there? Or maybe just to show a friend who stopped by or pass it on to someone? That produces "branding" of the website and/or product because people are seeing it over and over again. Plus, it makes for great word of mouth news travel fast. :-)

THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA
The computer swallowed grandma.
Yes, honestly its true.
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.
She SHOULDA had Invisus!!!!
The thought just makes me squirm.
Cause she musta caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.
I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.
In desperation, I asked Jeeves

Valerie,
This is MY humor marketing story!
When I set my mind to find a GOOD publisher, the first thing I did was create a website. My website had part of the title of my book as its URL so the two were interchangable.
I wrote and posted a humor column each week and, after a while, the biggest humor site (at the time) bought my work to have as content on their site. I, also, gave my column to various small websites for content. Anywhere and anyway I could get my work 'OUT THERE', I

A MASTER CELLS MAN
There are several men sitting around in the locker room of a private club after exercising. Suddenly a cell phone on one of the benches rings. One of the men picks it up, and the following conversation ensues:
- "Hello?"
- "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"
- "Ummm, yes."
- "Great! I am at the mall two blocks from where you are & I just saw this beautiful mink coat. It's absolutely gorgeous!! Can I buy it, please?"
- "What's the price?"
- "Only $15,000.00."
- "Well, OK, g

Humor Moments does bring up a good question?
I really don’t like the pass-along funny emails that seem to fill my email box. And my husband knows better then to forward me an inspiration message I don’t care to read. If I am going to read for relaxation it’s in a hot bath with a good book.
But…
I see many friends that eat this kind of thing up.
My question is what is the marketing behind laughter websites other than the obvious traffic?

Frazzled Woman,
I will be sure to check it out. Maybe type in a joke or two. Thank you for the website! I will add it to my favorites.
