David Brackett obtained his MFA in textiles, with honors, in 1990 from the University of Kansas. He participated in the University of Michigan from 1979 to 1985, where he studied interweaving and also fabric design, and also fine art record. Bracket has a bachelor in zoology from the University of Michigan (1977).
