Now, this, I didn't know?
This is from Bob Osgoodby's newsletter... and it's about
ad submitters and what really happens when you use them
for submitting to ezines !!
-----
Hi Bob, Enjoy your newsletters! Could you please tell me
where I can get one of those ad submitters that submit to
all the ezines? I did see one a while ago but must have
deleted the email. Regards Val

Val - save your money. Most Ezine publishers, including
myself, get bombarded by these submission programs. I have
filters in my email program that automatically dumps ads
submitted this way to the trash bin - they are never even
seen. How do we know this happening, you might ask. Well,
when you suddenly get bombarded with ad requests, you know
something is remiss.
Ads are submitted to us through a form on our web site. I
include a special statement on the ad that we receive from the
website, and if it isn't there, the ad is simply dumped. If they
break the code and include that statement in their submission
program, I simply change the statement.

Eggplants
=-=-=-=-=-=
A grocer put up a sign that read "Eggplants, 25¢ each --
three for a dollar."
All day long, customers came in exclaiming: "Don't be
ridiculous! I should get four for a dollar!"
Meekly the grocer capitulated and packaged four eggplants.
The tailor next door had been watching these antics and
finally asked the grocer, "Aren't you going to fix the
mistake on your sign?"
"What mistake?" the grocer asked. "Before I put up that
sign no one ever bought more than one eggplant."
Have a great TODAY

Hi Beth,
Great advice thanks for sharing.
I was writing before the Internet and submitted my work the "old fashioned" way. I still do, and I'm glad I did not go the route of the article blasters as some have. For me, I care about what I write and I take the time to market it where I think the article will do the most good---for me and my audience. With an ad blaster, you can't do that.
Personally, I just put myself in the shoes of the editor (been there myself on occasion) and didn't like

Now consider this,
Be sensible and reasonable in your Internet
Marketing approach. A person does NOT decide one day that they
will have an Internet business and then immediately find success.
Building a business is the same both online and offline. It takes
vision, passion, motivation, hard work, dedication, commitment,
sacrifice, time, and integrity to achieve real success. Don’t be
deceived. Don’t be distracted. Be purpose driven!

Eggplant story - a real lesson in sales psychology 101
Adblasters with software submitters are a real pain for publishers trying to maintain relevant content on their blogs, ezines and guessbooks if you don't have proper spam filters installed.
