I agree, combinations are synergistic. The sum of their responses is usually greater than the potential of it's individual parts.

The best and easiest way is merely upgrade so you increase the limits on how many connection requests you can make per day - and keep requesting. Outside of that I would suggest running PTC campaings with your credits asking others to connect with you. Both methods work very well.
