Writing good testimonials can be like attaching your name to a rocket. You have the opportunity to write testimonials for members on the Apsense business exchange and yet very few members are using this to their advantage. Please allow me to illustrate using my own personal example. (Because we learn by example right?) I had been searching online for a how-to eBook of good copywriting and was lucky enough to find an author that wanted others to review his book FREE before it went into print. The manual I was reviewing finally explained (in very easy terms) how to catch others attention with my writing. It explained what buyers wanted to read. Bottom line - I started to earn good money because my online writing was now effective. I was so happy with my free copy of this 200+ page manual that I wanted to express my thanks in the form of a testimonial. To be quite honest I was a little nervous about sending a writer my writing so I decided to first do some research on writing testimonials. This is what I found - A GREAT testimonial is written directly from specific benefits that you have received from the product or service! Example: I am a middle age business man that used your easy hair grows formula and went from bald to thick long waving hair in less than a month. I have my confidence back again. Thanks Question: Can you find the benefit in this example? Answer: I have my confidence back again. Benefits are what sell us on a product or service. The benefit for this man wanting hair is his confidence back. Women buy makeup for the benefit of looking younger and more beautiful not because of the all natural ingredients. So, how did my story end? I wrote my testimonial and sent it off as my way of saying thanks and telling all the benefits I had received by using his copywriting book. To my great surprise, when his book went to print it had my testimonial on the back cover. You just can’t buy the sky rocketing effects of one strategically placed testimonial. Another benefit that can from writing my testimonial is Ben Hart has become a good friend. Such a good friend in fact, he is letting me give away his latest book (a national best seller) free.
