Does Article Marketing still Work in 2013
I certainly wouldn't use PLR articles unless you rewrite them substantially. A SEO guy whose WSO I bought the other day said that spun articles (the way marketers usually spin them) don't get indexed by Google because they can recognize that that it is spun content which Google does not like.
I have heard that article marketing does not work now as well as it used to but here is a good article that you might want to read.

Many marketers are saying that videos are the way to drive traffic to your squeeze page this year. You might want to do a search on this forum for that to see what others are saying.
You could get traffic to your squeeze page by going to forums relevant to your niche and answer members questions and generally be seen as being helpful. Put a link to your squeeze page in your signature with a good call to action such as Jack has suggested in the reply above.
Have you thought about opening a business account on Pinterest to drive traffic to your squeeze page? I am seeing an increase in my traffic since I have been pinning.
Good luck. Need traffic and ranking check our service out?

Article Marketing has been around since the beginning and will be around tomorrow... Yes Article Marketing still works. Unique Content Was And Is Still King! Nothing has really changed in that concept with Google and other search engines...
What has change is stricter rules concerning crappy (low quality) content, thus the major motivating force behind the "Panda" rules and updates...
