Recently Kenneth Cole used twitter to promote his new line using the events in Cairo as a supposedly humorous tie in, what are your thoughts, and where do you draw the line?

Agreed, Philippe. That is just wrong! There are proper ways to use current events, but making a joke out of something so terrible, is completely WRONG!
This article (or similar) should be in the ethics group as well!

He crossed the line, there is nothing funny in that situation.
There's a limit to what can be done. Exploiting such an explosive situation is real bad taste.
