I review some highlights of the book and the post includes the video of the 2015 Stutt Lecture featuring Mr. David Brooks, columnist for the New York Times and author of "The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love Character and Achievement" He discussed character formation, and the distinction between what he calls 'resume virtues' and 'eulogy virtues' and how they reflect a bifurcation in each of us, two 'selves' one, seeking out success in career, and reputation, the other seeking connection, love, and service to community.
