Article submitting is THE best way to get traffic from my point of view. It works for a small products site like mine very well. I can compete with the "big boys" in the same area very well this way. My site is usually 4th or 5th on the first page if you Google it.

Most submitters in the past have had some form of problems associated with them. I own an Article directry and if u were to ask 90 % of directory owners they would say they don't like them.

As you said, submitting to a targeted audience is best. 10 Niche article sites is better than 100 that are not targeted...

I agree on getting links back to your site. Articles are one of the best ways to do just that! I have a software you can get called my article submitter. It has a list of places to send your articles or you can add your own. Really cool tool and what a time saver. You certainly don't want to send you health and beauty tips to hot rods online. This makes it easy for you to submit where your targetted audience is located.

here`s my little special trick when I am creating a post using BBCODE Max ...

I type out the colour code once like this ..

... then I simply highlight and copy, move to new line and paste a few times so it ends up like this before I start my post ...

[color=blue][/color]
