AMAZON CUTS SHIPPING FEES TO ATTRACT MORE MERCHANTS
In an attempt to help sellers of small-bore items, Amazon is reportedly cutting its shipping costs by as much as 67% for items such as small tech accessories (USB cables, smartphone screen protectors, etc.), household items like toothbrushes, makeup and any other small, flat items that can fit in envelopes. Once the new rate starts, the merchants will be paying $1.61 to ship three, flat, 1-ounce packages, while items thicker than half an inch will be charged a bit higher.
