I'm 81 years old and over the last several years after retirement and lack of exercise i started gaining extra weight. In July of this year i was up to 287, with very bad knees ,and almost totally confined to a wheel chair, and for the present am in Lutheran home. It was quite by accident that I started my weight loss program. I was having trouble swallowing my food and after a couple of doctor's visits it seems that I had some problems with my esophagus that is permanent, so I had to completely change my eating habits, I have to take smaller bites and chew each bite 25 times and drink water every few bites ,soon that meant smaller portions and less food at each meal, now I have dropped to 266 and am walking with out wheel chair. am using walker, ride exercise bike every day 20 minutes have set goals to reach 240 by march of 2014.
