Was It Something I Said?
Now that I have your attention, Can We Talk?
We all know about "Truth In Advertising" and how difficult it is really find it anywhere online.
But today I want to talk about "Honesty In Discussion"
Should we say what we really feel or use diplomacy to win friends and influence people. Or, maybe, ignorance is "Bliss?"
Most people can' handle the truth - ones's truth, any way. Is there a fine line to walk or should our conscience be our guide?

hey Max...
Looks like you already have 3 votes in on Honest...
Yes... be honest... but there's such a thing as tact or diplomacy! LOL which I am not the best at... At another community far far away... topics tht shouldn't be discussed at the dinner table do come up... and it took me awhile to let it be known that I'm not sharing the same views as what appears to be the majority! ...
But when it comes to marketing!!! YES !! Truthfulness and honesty are the only way to go...

After careful consideration - I am for the Honest in Discussion.
Yup - being honest in your discussions with people you wish to work with MAY lose you a few - but the ones you stay with know where they stand with you and you will have fewer problems working with them.
Those long online business discussions where honesty is put to one side, in favour of a quick sale dont work out in the long term. (unless you dont mind the reputation as someone who doesnt care where their money comes from! lo

In this day and age, you need to say what you mean, tell what you're feeling, and be truthful and forthright.
If you don't, you risk the change of being stepped on, lied to, and disceived.
Plus, by letting people know exactly what you are looking for/want, you can weed out bad business partnerships faster and reduce the chances of a bad experience.
Good topic!

People want to follow the leader not the crowd.
The online world is a numbers game. The more you narrow your focus the more chance you have of getting what you want and not loosing time on what you don’t want.
I had a girlfriend that filled out an online dating form. She wanted to be very accepting and basically stated anyone may apply. Her attempt at diplomacy resulted with zero matches and only a few real creepy types replying.
My vote is to say what you feel â€
