Developing a mutually beneficial relationship (the ultimate goal of Social Media) is usually Founded on a "reason" for people to connect. When requesting connection, take the time and energy to craft a request mentioning the REASON the connection would be beneficial. Visit and read a person's Profile before the request is made. How Many DO THIS? Don't you believe your associations will grow in quality?

You can do everything, but you won't do anything

Until few days ago I was lazy on this.
On Apsence and Linkedin, when ever I was asking for connection, I left automated message, naturally it wasn't working so well. Better say, I gained connections, but no followers...

Great point Chuck. I must confess that I have been one of the many who have not FULLY followed the method you've recommended. Point noted. This is what I'll be doing from now on.

This needs to be shared as I think other members of APSense who are not members of this group need to see this.
