Ship demolition -the need and the reality

The ship demolition industry is without doubt important, no one can argue against that. There are several places in the world where ship breaking is a really big business, most of them in Asia-along the shores of India, Pakistan, China and Turkey. More advanced operations, that are safe for the workers and the environment alike, exist in Britain and the US, but they are not so widely used as those previously said, because destroying a ship there costs much more money than ship owners are actually willing to spare. There is much to be done in order to improve the conditions the job is done.
