Is a website really needed?

I use to use free websites where I promoted my affiliate programs, but since becoming a member of global domains I have dedicated a website page for my affiliate programs, check it out @ http://www.bonzdee.ws just look up affiliate programs, I find it good having your own website to promote anything you want really.

Not really, cause you still can make money without it.
It's good to have.

I haven't gone wrong following Pete's advice. Blogs & article writing about your affiliate programs WILL generate you more business too.

Perhaps you don't need a website full of content per se. But you should have your own domain name and hosting, even if it's for splash pages and a blog. That shows that you are an independant person ... that you are taking the time to make yourself different from the other affiliates of the same program.

how about a blog? i dont know what kind of affiliate buisness you're running but i think website is not neccessary.the purpose you build a website is promote your buisness,so maybe you should save your money from buy domain and hosting before you earn from those buisness.there are free source around the internet,you can find one easily.

Ok Pete... all that is good and true! but for the newbie... you can make money merely by promoting your affiliate url within communities like this one but you also need to do so with several other communities!

or a Blog like on wordpress.com
