Classic Horror discussion
I wanted to start a place where we could discuss classic horror movies. The question is where to determine the line is between Classic and Modern. After much thought I settled on 1970 as the dividing line. I'm sorry classic means a movie has stood the test of time. I honestly don't see Nightmare on Elm street as a classic yet. Jaws is close and is standing up very well but I still can't call that a classic.
Sometimes it is not the movie that makes a classic but the actors: Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, the Peter Cushing-Christopher Lee-Christopher Plummer combo. again Classic.
There is one more thing that makes a classic the studio/production company. Hammer films were known for horror movies period. I think that qualifies as classic.
So any horror classics in this thread; Classic movies, Classic actors, classic studios etc
Lets dig up the memories.
