I'm new and I don't mind posting my real picture. I'm a real person with real goals and dreams. Why hide behind something. I can't do business with someone that his hiding behind a mask.

Once you have sold yourself and people go to view you ads or web page or blog ....

Then use the KISS principle.

Keep it simple. A simple ad or simple small article or simple web page is far better than reams of writing about a product or service. Most people looking around online have a limited attention span.

If you give your site visitors too many choices or too much information too many fancy flashing objects, they will become confused and leave your page without buying.

How do I look? I have always had my picture up. Maybe I am too ugly and I am running my potential customers away because I look (or smell) so bad. I should go to a logo instead of my real picture. LOL!

How do you get people to look at things on your site?

I could give you all the usual hype about video, audio, flash banners blah-de-blah-de-blah but you can actually answer the question much better for yourself.

Every time you visit a web site, ask yourself (after the event) "What made me click on that? or "What made me read that?"

In any kind of sales online or offline, the salesperson and his attitude towards people and in the case of the internet ; site visitors, is more important than the product. or concept.

People need to feel confident to buy and specially online, if people do not feel right about a web site or the advertising suggesting a web site or product or concept, they will not even lo

okay..i can see for a profile pic that makes sense, so I will change that, now im not having to much of a problem getting people there, my problem is getting people to look things over and clicking on things...any suggestions?

Selling a coincept, are you?

Everybody sells the concept that
a) their product is better/cheaper/more effective/easier to use and so on
b) their advertising is worth reading
c) that they are the people to buy from.

Did you notice 'c'?

Before you can sell a concept, you have to sell yourself.

I suppose somebody must have said "Ooh! What a lovely logo. I must go and buy whatever it is!

I'll bet a lot more people have said, "I can deal with that person!"

Well I can understand that you want to see real people, and I can accept that, but i am selling a concept and that is how i get the name out. It is not that im hiding, I felt it was the best way to get the name out there so people can associate the picture with the product. I could be wrong and please tell me if I am. Could be a good learning experience, so if you have any suggestions, please do tell.

Real people on Apsense?

Yes. There are some, and they do post their personal pictures and have a reasonable profile.

The others?

In my opinion, they are hiding because they have no pride in who they are or what they represent.

Are they worth dealing with?

I have met the most wonderful people here, and in the other communities..that are my biz partners and/or subscribers. But most of all even if they are not anyway affiliated with my biz...I have met some real great friends! :0)
