You can take advantage of the latest advancements in computer graphics to take an image and convert to eps for better rendering and printing purposes. The postscript graphical format makes it easier to render the image on older machines that do not have the hardware capabilities to directly render the data on their own. This is used in advanced image processing and printing purposes when you are dealing with professional images and designs that have to be scalable in size. You cannot determine the extent of the image in traditional formats unless you use vector techniques for better representation and reconstruction purposes. Traditional and cheap formats of imaging techniques use bitmap previews or the concept of raster graphics. However, if you create vector art from the same image, the difference would become clear to you on your own. Normal bitmap images are suitable when used in their original size, but are not scalable at all. If you keep increasing the size of the image, the image is progressively blurred until a stage arrives where you cannot make out anything at all. Such a practice imposes a lot of restrictions which are unsuitable for corporate practices and uses and should be discarded completely.
