Newbie Questions & Answers in Network Marketing Success
I seem to have burned through my "Warm market" and I'm not good at just walking up to random strangers, I don't have the money to buy cold prospect leads, how can I add affiliates to my organization?
This is an excellent question--because it's common. I won't answer it the way many people would expect me to answer it--or would want me to answer it. But I will answer it truthfully.
The short answer is: If a person is not confident in their ability to prospect, they will find ways to stop themselves from prospecting.
This answer won't win any popularity contests-- but if you look this over thoroughly you'll see that it's the truth.
So let's go back through the question and point out something.
"I seemed to have burned through my warm market." This is perhaps where the LACK of confidence in ability exposed itself. If a person sees that what they did didn't yield any result or even worse might have caused some damage or strain on those warm market relationships, then the person might decide they're not good at walking up and talking to strangers.
This is also why so many people see a website as their "solution" and then depend heavily on the internet and their website to do the prospecting for them. It doesn't work that way. This business is a person to person business. Believing you can do this business without ever talking to people is like a fisherman believing he can still catch fish even though he never goes near the water. To be successful in Network Marketing you must learn how to talk to people about your business. A website can take away much of the pressure we feel when we begin our prospecting efforts especially when talking to people we don't know. It can be a great icebreaker. It can give a better, more accurate, and credible explanation of our products and opportunity than you can do on your own, especially when you're just starting. It can reduce the pressure the prospect often feels when invited to consider your product or opportunity. It can take the "meeting" to your prospect allowing them to preview what you have to share in the privacy of their home and the convenience of their time schedule. When used in this way a website can be an incredible tool, helping you reach more people faster and with less hassle than before.
The key here is to understand the role of your website, what it's meant to do, and how it should be used. You must still make that personal invitation to your website and make that all important follow up contact. This is how you will add new associates to your organization. The fortune is in the follow up. Have your sponsor or upline leader work with you in the beginning doing three-way calls or visits with your prospects until you feel comfortable doing it on your own. This way you will become confident and you'll soon discover the true joys of this business, meeting new people, making new friends, and building a profitable business through the relationships you've created.
Your website will give you a simple, duplicatable, systematic way to prospect, present, and follow up. The true beauty of having a web-based system like this one is once you become well versed in the process and a seasoned veteran networker, your downline won't be dependent upon you because they'll have the same system and tool you had to build their business. That is true duplication.
Regardless of your preferred marketing method, never forget the cornerstone of this business is relationships and you must learn to talk to people to have real success

Great posts by everyone and I must put my 2 cents in also.
I do believe in building relationships and think that it is the way to gain affiliates and contacts that will stay with you in the long run. If people do not believe in you they will not stay.
If you can sell yourself then the person you are communicating with will be intrigued and ask you for about your business and then you do not have to sell them on the business they will sell themselves.
I have also gained people in my down

Hi Mauro,
Thank you so much for your kind words & wonderful compliments! I am both honored & humbled by them. Honored that a man of very high caliber & astuteness like yourself would bestow such commendable tokens of tribute on me. I hate to disagree with you, but it DOES work that way if you structure it properly. I'm signing up a handful of new recruits every week now that I have a website that gets to the top of Google results for my desired keyphrase. I don't even see them until they contact me later on the community I'm recruiting for and tell me that's how they got there. It's getting better every day.
My point is, the only absolute is there are no absolutes. You can't make a blanket statement that covers all situ

Michael, Mr. Michael Brock...when we first met and shared those brief emails back and fourth last week, I said to my wife that very night... that I met this man in Apsense who intrigued me. She asked me what it was about him, I told her I'm not sure it was just the way he put his words, it was as if I was sitting across from him face to face, a smart very articulate man, she thats nice, invite him over for dinner sometime and went to bed.
Now, I sit back and read your response to my post and

Wasup Team Savo,
Great post. I agree that the key to network marketing & any type of "people" related business for that matter is "relationship building". Because "people" have the desires, needs & wants to be fulfilled, along with the money (or credit) to purchase the product/s or service/s that best meets their requirements &/or suits their situation in doing so & you won't be able to get to the money, if you can't get to the "people" first!
It really is that simple regardless of the le

Hello Pete, thank you for adding that comment you are right on with the web 2.0.
Building relationships is the key. I like to keep 3 things in mind when I meet someone for the first time, there is NO way they will want to hear about my business or want to work with me until they know me, they trust me and they like me.
Thanks,
Mauro
