There are so many promises in ads, which just don't seem to be reachable. Are people really that naive?
Perhaps I'm just getting old and cynical - what do you think?

Unfortunately, the people who are hurting the most are the most desperate, and who really want to believe the claims. They will almost certainly have switched off their skepticism, and will join out of desperation. Think before you spend your hard earned cash, people!

lol yes they are, and the worse the economy gets the more sensationalism will be present. People are really hurting and some will try anything!

As Helen says, it does tend to come down to doing some due diligence. I often search for reviews and information on programs I've seen advertised, but very seldom even consider joining any.
Some of the claims made in ads today are totally incredible, aren't they?

Good point Helen. I also have no idea who said that but it is true.

I tend to be a bit analytical, and will do some research. If I can I will contact the advertiser to have a chat with them. Then I will decide if I want to try it or not. I try to keep in mind that all success depends on my own efforts. Who was it that said "If it makes sense, it will make money"!

I agree and I dislike it. I don't mind a bit of exaggeration, I do mind plain lies. The truth is, that telling the truth is advertising does not sell. For the online working from home section. Which in most cases should read: work your but of for 2-3 years and than you may earn enough to pay for the bills.
