Your opinion on the use of Splash Pages on Tes
We have all been told over the years to use personal splash pages for better conversions on the tes and to brand ourselves. I would like your input on this. Do you use them yourself? How are your conversions with them? I have used them for years now. Have had more clicks on them compared to standard affiliate pages but am not seeing a great conversion going on no matter what I have promoted over the years. Do you tend to sign up to a program from a personal splash page or doesn't it matter to you?

I haven't created any personal splash pages yet but I've noticed using the generic ones from programs does convert higher than the signup pages. Doug from Traffic delivers made a great point in his AAA training in Conversion Surf where he stated most people when surfing dont have time to fill in forms, and it's better to have a splash page that opens a new window, that way they can continue surfing for their credits and fill in the form at their leisure - makes sense to me!

personalize splash pages make an impact over time. People get to see you , learn your name, see what you promote, and slowly begin to feel comfortable with you. also commenting in chats helps boost that image even more. You build up a band that people know like and trust and when you do that you win.

Yeah, but that is only me. As I said I do click sometimes on splashes that stand out because of the message on it or appeal to me because it is a great splash. I would not click on the greatest splash made ever if I think it is a ponzy. Many people click on the nice "wrapping paper" and sign up for stuff without knowing what is in the package. Some may do that later when done surfing. In general when it is a product/service that many are promoting it is good to create your own to stand out.

Hi Paula. It sounds like you don't consider them all that important then? You feel it comes down to the product or program then.

YOu have to think about the short time a TE member is on your site. A normal affiliate page with much text will never be read or gets any attention. This is what it makes neccesary to use attention grabbing branded splashpages. Why branded? Because people sell to people not the site or the product.

I also make my own if i have the time. As for signing up for me a criteria is what the programs offer. I do not sign up for more info from pages with at least a hint what the product or service is. I do click sometimes when a splash really grabs my attention. especially when branded with a picture of somebody i consider a serious marketer that does not promote crap
