We modified several sites and have sen Huge positive differences in traffic which yields conversion, which yields POSITIVE Cash Flow..

Without a doubt social sites help a lot more with blog type sites now then before, but when it comes to e-com sites it doesn't seem to be as effective, but I guess that's mostly because people don't tend to share the sort of products our clients sites are about.
But yes, with my blog (guestbloger.com and nathanielbailey.co.uk) I have noticed that sharing on FB, Twitter, G+ and Pinterest have all helped to improve rankings and traffic!

Social engagement on your blog is a must if you want to rank high on the search engines (not just Google). I noticed that when I started using Pinterest and put a "Pin It" button on my blog that my 2nd best traffic source is Pinterest!
