When you are trying to recruit new people to work with you, you will have more success if you listen to what they need and want and then offer them a solution that will help them to meet those needs and wants.

After 15 plus years in the marketing arena, I can say when you help people you help yourself more than just monetarily! After all is said and done it feels good to have really helped someone instead of selling them.

Thanks ladies. I see that we are all of the same mind. If we are to be successful in business, we need to be able to offer our prospects what they they are looking for instead of trying to convince them that they need what we think they want. Success is about helping enough people to get what they want and, by doing so, we will eventually get what we want.

Although we are told we are not sales people, all the rules of sales apply. If we learn to listen, and build rapport people will tell you what they want and need! In sales it's called probing.

I totally agree with you Deb, It is not always what we Want but what an affiliate or People, who want to work for us, wants. The same applies to when we get recruited... :)
