Article: "Are Kids Simply Designed To Make Me Laugh?""
As a Single Guy for Life/ Wedding Photographer I used to cringe at the thought of children attending wedding ceremonies because they sometimes can and will do stuff at critical moments...like:
1. Fighting--
Most of the time, children will become bored and agitated at the length of the ceremony, and this can have some humourous or irritating results,
Like the time a couple of kids got into a fight because of a hair-pulling/tease session... You never know what kids might do or say at a critical moment, and when they were finally separated, one kid started yelling out the bride's (The other kid's mother) probable sexual preferences... Turning the whole crowd red-faced with embarassment... I had to wait for a half hour, so I could take some decent photos!
2. Saying Stuff in Public --
I was walking home along a street that winds through a scenic park near the art, science and history museums in my town...
The area is fairly busy during the day... what with teachers and their elementary school children, parents pushing prams and nannies with their charges, all visiting the various venues.
Since these attractions are close together, kind of in a circular arrangement... there are several busy intersections to cross when on foot, and people will often gather in groups-- So that all may cross the streets together, you know, sort of "Safety in Numbers" sort of thing...
Well this day, I happened to be standing at such an intersection, and waiting with me was a couple of teachers and what seemed like a well behaved group of children-- Until one of the little girls blurted out loudly...
"Hey, Mister!", she bragged, "My teacher told me that if I keep my clothes on today, she'll let me be the leader at playtime!"
I nearly lost it when I saw both teachers go red-faced, and then I totally lost it when all the other kids started laughing!:)
Since I don't have children of my own, it was kind of a demonstration of what parents must feel when their little "pride and joy" lets go with a "Gem" of a remark like that one!:)
3. And, Last but not least, Spilling Stuff --
"Every once in a while The Universe decides that I need a laugh or two!"
It was really hot and humid and I needed a cold drink so went into a convenience store to grab one of those big and icy softdrinks they call a slurpee...
It seems that I wasn't the only one with this great idea because there were about three people in front of me, waiting to get to the drink machine.
The cause for the wait ( they had air conditioning, thank you) was a young father and his little boy, who appeared to be about three years old.
The kid was tugging at his father's clothing while he was slowly pumping out the soft drink, a super large cherry slurpee...
The kid kept insisting that he wanted to hold the drink and was demanding that his dad hand it to him.
"Ok!" I heard the man say to his child, "But you better be careful!" as he handed the kid the huge soft drink...
Now, forgive me if I'm wrong (I'm not a parent) but it seems to me that if you hand a kid anything that looks like a cup, he or she will instinctively try to drink from it, am I right?
Well, this kid did just that! The moment his dad gave that giant drink, the kid turned it up to his mouth and the lid on the drink came flying off!
This resulted in a three year old being covered from head to toe in cherry slurpee!
I kind of silently laughed as I went over to the counter to get some napkins to help the dad clean up the mess...
But I totally lost it when the dad angrily said to the kid, " See?", "I toldja so!"
That bout of laughter lasted the rest of the day and made my cola slurpee taste that much sweeter!:)

Hi, I have a question.
Do you contact at least 10,000 Marketers a day with your ads?
Because that is exactly what my computer is doing for me right now... Im not at home; I'm at the lake with my 2 young boys.
If 1 sale per thousand contacts earns me 75.00, Then I will make 750.00 today! Every Day! How much a day would that be for your product?

:) ah yes it is easier to laugh when it is someone else's child causing the scene... memories of those "special" moments do bring an upward curl to my lips now that time washed away the embarrassment leaving instead fond memories of learning experiences.
