Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) had just finished a world tour to promote the fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor come July 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada. The two-week tour spanned eight cities in five countries. UFC President, Dana White, hailed it as the most they had ever spent on a promotion for what he believed to be the biggest fight of the century.
