@manoj a simple domain name change offers you a chance to start over again and build your campaign within the new rules and boundaries...that accomplished it will outstand many slaps to come...keep it 'white hat' squeeky clean
well said Andrew I agree initially and the outcome is indeed your long term resolvement. However I might add that I think a redirect could be a quick solution with some good old blogging and articles along with some social bookmarking and resource links of relevant sites on multiple directories with total topic relevance. You will need to launch a new blogsite though and only use your original website as a link in that blog
I like Andrew's answer. And I think that "aged" domains are still valued a bit more by Google, so I wouldn't start over with a new name. Just keep adding content that is relative to your domain name and working on other SEO tactics.
Hi Manoj.
If you are referring to the latest announcement that Google are downgrading the relevance of domain names, then the answer is most certainly no.
It is in order to lower the position of sites that offer no relevance or useful content, but that have a relevant domain name, that they have ceased giving domain names as much relevance in their alogorithms. The only, long-term improvement for a website is content and good backlinks.
