Lots of sites, rotators and list to promote - but what about your results?

There are lots of places where we can advertise and submit our links. What is your experience - do some of them give you real results - meaning how many sign ups do you really get. I think that 99% of our referrals come from direct, "eye to eye, mouth to mouth" method. The link leads to one of the best sites I have joined in 2013.
