The Amazing Viral Effect of Comment Graphics and You
Anybody who is a member of a Social network that Allows
the posting of Comment Graphics in the Comment area of a users profile,
has a good idea of their popularity. THEY ARE HUGELY POPULAR! Unfortunately this isn't allowed in apsense currently but most of the
other big social networks allow for this. (MySpace, Friendster, Hi5,
Facebook, etc.)
For those of you who don't know what comment graphics are, they are
simply small graphics that you leave on your friends profile page that
convey a message to your friend in a humorous or eye-catching way. The
Graphic may say something like "Have a Great Day", "Just Passing
Through", or pretty much anything for that matter. The Are basically just virtual greeting cards.
The Net is flooded with sites that produce these graphics, and if you
look at the page hits of some of the top ranked sites they are in
the 10's or 100's of millions! IMHO this is the Absolute Best Recorded
Example of viral marketing in internet history!
The viral effect happens with the graphic in this way.
A text link is bundled with the graphic, or the graphic itself acts as
a link, leading back to the place it was produced. People who like the
graphic posted on a profile they are surfing can click on the link to
go to the graphic website and pick up the code for some sweet graphics
they they can spread around. In this way Advertising for the Graphic
Website, is quickly and widely distributed thoughout the net for more
people to see, and click back to the Graphic Website. This is a true
and perfect phenomenon!
Anyhoo, I'm an artist that makes these things and I just recently started a website for them. I have over 100 so far that are very unique and are gaining popularity. When I get rolling and get all the websitebuilding out of the way I will be added many more daily to the catalog.
Herez the twist - I'm giving away the whole site to whoever wants it! No Joke. You can grab the whole website which is sized down and fully functional and put it in a blog, or on many number of social networking sites, or on your own server! Throw some ads around it tell a few friends and watch them keep coming back for more! Your site is auto-updated every time I update, so you really can just set it and forget it!
This is totally free, very simple to do, and will add a ton of value to your site! You can contact me if you need more details or have questions, but the best thing to do is just grab the code from the page and start putting it everywhere!
I tested it in a lot of places, even here at dull, dreary APSense LOL. Just click the link and grab the code!
Have Fun

Hey thanks beth, well the illustrations i used in the original blog were .swf (shock wave flash) objects so I'm not really sure how to embed them with ubb, but if you click on the apsense link in the article you can go to the whole website and see all the gfx!
thx for your advice!

You can use graphics in BBCode,
Just replace the [url] & [/url] with [img] and [/img]
Lisa Lomas11
Yes I second Beth, I use graphics all the time.

Now Catz, you need to put the link to your blog where the images are!
and.... get some of your graphics so they can be in UBB code! is that possible?
I don't know!
