A fan page on Facebook is kind of like a free advertisement but yet a way for others to show their support for your service, product, project or what have you. I will be doing one for my animal shelter service and one for my fundraiser. I know that several people have gotten a advantage from doing the fan page for their business or group and now are doing a lot better. But if you do one make sure you plan it out and make it appealing and interesting and then share with your friends and on your wall and ask your friends, family and fans to share with their contacts and soon you will be doing good, also I believe your fan page is also search able on search engines as well.
