Bullying is not good for APSense

I'm posting this today because I have been trying to figure out how to put this as a gentle reminder rather than sounding like a shrew.  I recently saw behavior that I have not seen in a while and it came from people that I did not expect it from.

Let's take the time to think before we do things that make not just APSense but ourselves look bad.  One of those things that makes us look bad is 'bullying'.  Yes that is exactly what happened.  When a group of people gang up on another member because that other member may have a different view and you do it publicly-it only makes the group look like a bunch of schoolyard bullies.

Not only does in make you look bad it makes APSense itself look bad.  And deleting the opposing parties posts just makes it worse.  Sorry guys but the behavior you dwere displaying was not that of responsible APSense members.

I hope everyone takes the reminder in the spirit that it is offered and thinks first.  Before you stain your own reputation and APSense reputation. You didn't agree with what was posted fine, you don't have to agree with everything that was posted-but that works both ways.  Everyone does not have to agree with you-but it is your responsibility to deal with others disagreements as an adult, not with childish ganging up on someone else behavior.

I did not name anyone in the article for a reason. I want people to
think about what they post before they post it and nip in the bud
another situation like this occurring. I wrote so that the whole
situation could be kept anonymous but serve as a reminder that when we
post we are not just affecting ourselves but every member of APSense.

Someone could have seen that who was considering becoming a member
here but has now changed their mind because of what they may see as a
lack of professionalism. When you post, you represent APSense. That is
the point of this post so people remember that. That one member who
decides not to join because of what they saw/see may have been another
member's new referral or business partner but they chose not to join
because of the first impression they received.

You and APSense only get one chance to make a good first impression.

Yes I am deleting the comments and locking the post.  This post is not about who did what, it's about all of us thinking first before WE do something that reflects badly on this site.
