Needing Some Feedback

I just started a new project and was hoping to get some feedback on the subject. Ok, here goes! The subject that I am preparing for is Yahoo Groups and the feedback I am looking for is just basic stuff like;Do you still use Yahoo Groups? (For advertising, For personal reasons, For information or reference?)Do you consider Yahoo Groups to still be key in a marketing campaign?Have you ever been or are you still an active user of  Yahoo Groups? If so what is the main function of your use of them?
These are the basic questions that I would like to hear about. The more feedback I get on the subject will be a very big help with this up and coming project.
On a personal note I am the moderator of several groups. I run a few advertising groups and I also have a personal private group that is for family only. I have drifted away from them for awhile and have not used, especially the advertising groups as a tool as I have in the past. I have been visiting Yahoo Groups Blog lately and am finding new improvements to the groups. I believe that with the success of places like Facebook, Twitter and Google Yahoo is getting that left behind feeling and is starting to panic a bit. I think and I could be wrong about it but when companies feel threatened they tend to take drastic measures and risks that could very well pay off in the long run.
I want to thank you in advance for reading this and want to express to you how important this subject is for me. I hope that you are willing to comment and top it up so it will be passed on to many here at APSense. Feel free to write as much as you choose on this subject as your feedback is of the utmost importance to me
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Mohinder,

Actually there is a way to start. Go to your Yahoo profile. Look at the nav bar on the left and click on blog. Next write a simple blog post and link it to your blog. This will give you a backlink in yahoo and get you listed in the yahoo search engine. also locate other members in yahoo and comment on their yahoo blogs. Just make sure you link back to your own. Let me know if this helps.

Hello Don,

Good and well written article, Yahoo Groups, l personality have not used them but the feed back l get is very positive. Reason l have not used them is the time factor how much can you do in one day and how many sites can you write for etc.etc.....I think and feel it has definite benefits, it is one of the largest search engine so has done something right....

Mohinder back links are a simple step each time you read an article that you liked, you post a comment and you have just created a back link back to your original site. When you follow a blog, again you did it again created another one...But the key is to comment on blogs in your niche...

Regards,

Joseph Botelho

I agree Joseph. Staying with your niche will get you targeted backlinks. Thank you for your feedback it is much appreciated. I have been using Yahoo ever since they started. As a matter of fact, I only started using Google about 5 years ago because I was more comfortable with Yahoo... Go figure???
