I own 10,000 comic books :
Mainly MarvelDCImageValiantetc...
I'm currently reading Essential Fantastic Four volume 2.
The Marvel Essentials are 500-page B&W books selling for around $17, I think, reprints of comics published from the very beginnings in 1961.
Stan Lee was an awesome writer, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko were fantastic pencillers.
Lord, it's good to read that stuff. :D

So many people said to Vampirella's author why does she want us to believe a "costume" can hold on to her body. She got tired and finally started responding : "Because she's drawn that way !!!" LOL By the way, Cheryl, the most awesome comic book story is not Watchmen, it's the first 2 volumes of The Authority, by Warren Ellis. You say you are not into superheroing, these TPBs redefine the role in a tremendous way while providing awesome action scenes and terrific dialogue. BTW, two characters are a gay couple, a Superman-like with a Batman-like The Midnighter, the Batman-like, is absolutely ruthless. When surrounded by about 20 soldiers, he says : "I will enjoy crippling you all" Dec 24th 2010 08:38 |

I did read X-men for a while when they were running the Brood storyline. Now I know where they got Jessica Rabbit's line from in Who Framed Roger Rabbit! lol "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way." Dec 24th 2010 08:43 |
I never got too much into the superhero comic books but I was totally into Eerie, Creepy and Vampirella. I wish I still had some of those old issues!
