What are Hub Pages?

They are one-page Web articles you write that are filled
with insight , advice  and information.

A hub is used to create a central point for all things on a
specific topic. You want your hub to be a place that people will find useful
which in turn will help establish your expertise on the subject. In addition it
will be a single point for search engines to focus on when ranking your chosen
keyword.

It is website designed around sharing advertising revenue
for high-quality, user-generated content. The interface allows members to
create individual pages on specific topics. Hub Pages from many other
revenue-sharing sites by using the Google AdSense API to manage the revenue
split with writers, or a

Website that you own!  It helps with authority and ranking on search
engines! By pointing your other sites back to you will increase your list and
your affiliate earnings. As people gain good advice and are impressed with the
programs you promote it will again raise your rankings.

Since Blogs have high rankings in the search engines you have a better chance
for almost immediate traffic! Another idea is to have a webpage that is a hub
and link it to your blogs or other sites.

Link other site pages to your blog and show their RSS feed
tidbits . If you do a hub page about  your favorite programs, most people do not do
the math to decide whether a package is worth it!! It is great advertising to
write ad copy to do the math for them.

the links work and I can highlight all the very important stuff!

Classically
speaking, a follower is someone who really likes your work. On HubPages,

because they enjoy the Hubs that you have written or interacting with you in
the Hub Pages Forums. When someone follows you, they will receive an email
every time that you publish a new Hub and they will also be able to keep up
with what you are up to on Hub Pages because you?re automatically added into

If you enjoy reading someone?s Hubs and
chatting with them in the forums follow them! To join a fellow Hubber?s Fan
Club all that you have to do is visit that person?s profile page and look at
the box below his/her profile picture where you will see a link saying ?Follow
So-And-So?. By clicking on that link, you will become a follower of this

another Hubber, the landing page you come to will show you who that Hubber is
following, with pictures and short bios. This is an easy way to learn more

props to your favorite Hubbers.

This is a great
advantage it saves the necessity of posting it to twitter and all the other
social networks.  You may still want to
post it to attract more followers ,but they have social net work promotion
links on the site.

The first step is to create the hub page. This page explains
what your keyword is about and links to the articles you have written about the
keyword. There should also be an intro explaining what makes you an expert on
the subject.

This isn't an exhaustive list, however my most basic checklist
for hub pages is:

Firstly create a stand
alone page for your keyword

The keyword should be in
the page title, page heading, and page url

?        
The page should contain
an intro to the topic explaining why you are an expert on the subject and what
benefits the reader will get by reading your content.

Finally the page should
link to your best content on the subject. Make sure the links are to strong relevant
content, and not just every single you have mention of the keyword.

Part 2 -
Promote Your Hub Page

Promoting my hub: follow the outline below.

1.      
First things first - I am
linking to the page from different strongly ranked, relevant (very important)
pages on the site. In the future I will be doing even more of this.

2.      
Next I go to other
websites I control on the subject and link to my TimThumb hub. For instance I
have linked the TimThumb docs on Pro Theme Design to the hub, and I have also
linked the Google Code TimThumb page. These are highly relevant and nice easy
improvements for little effort.

3.      
Next I am contacting
webmasters and asking them to link to my hub page. With TimThumb this is nice
and easy. I simply Google for TimThumb and then contact the people in the top
results. Mostly the results are relevant and, even better, my new TimThumb hub
resource is helpful to them and their sites visitors.

4.      
Rinse and repeat with new
keywords.

With a relatively small amount of work I have managed to get to
around number 4 or 5 in the Google search results for the keyword TimThumb and
this is reflected in my keyword rankings.
